Adrian James Smith

Adrian James Smith passed away at his home in Petaluma on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the age of 65.

Adrian is survived by his loving wife Bert (Roberta Libchitz) of 35 years. They were married in Petaluma on November 26, 1982.

Adrian is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Louise Smith, and his brother, Brian Smith.

Adrian is also survived by his 2 amazing Godsons, Dillon James Peter & Brandon Noah Peter of Petaluma; a sister, Theresa Smith of Sparks; and a sister-in-law, Linda Walton of Morgan Hill.

Adrian was born in San Rafael, California in 1952. He graduated from Novato High School in 1970 and went on to earn an Engineering Degree from Healds Business College.  He worked in the Automotive Industry for 45 years spending the last 23 years as the Parts Manager at Victory Chevrolet in Petaluma.  He was also co-owner of Bert’s Desserts, Inc. in Petaluma.

Adrian enjoyed spending time with his amazing friends (Rick, Bob, Don, De De, Jenna, Junior, Karen, Sandi & Steve….just to name a few).  He also enjoyed his gun collection, working outdoors, his tractors, his jeep and his animals.

The memorial will be held at the New Life Christian Fellowship in Petaluma, 1310 Clegg St, Petaluma on October 21st at 11:00 am followed by a light lunch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Life Christian Fellowship 1310 Clegg St., Petaluma, CA 94954 or the Guide Dogs for the Blind, P.O. Box 151200, San Rafael, CA 94915.  Family assisted by Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, Petaluma.
