Aileen Annette Andresen died peacefully in her home of over 70 years.
Aileen was born in 1927 in Petaluma to Henry and Alice (Keegan) Andresen. She attended school in Petaluma. She worked for Pacific Bell and AT&T for 50 years.
Aileen was a world traveler, expert seamstress and brilliant conversationalist. She was a walking encyclopedia of Petaluma history. She was a long time member of Telephone Pioneers and the Sonoma County Thunderbird Club. She and her red Thunderbird appeared in many Butter and Egg Day parades in downtown Petaluma.
Aileen’s home was always open to family and she was always there to provide love and support to her relatives.
Aileen was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Charles, sister Betty Hogan, nephew Kevin Root, niece Maureen Austin, nephew Ryan Austin. She is survived by niece Bridget Kurz, nephews Maximillian and Wolfgang Kurz and nephew Scott Austin, cousin Suzanne Evans (Thomas) and numerous Andresen and Keegan cousins.
Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 10, at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA 94954 at 11 AM. Committal to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 304 Magnolia Avenue, Petaluma, CA 94952
