Alexander David Crivelli passed away peacefully at home on July 4th, 2025, at the age of 88 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 8th, 1937, in Santa Cruz California. The son of the late David and Pearl Crivelli.
Al spent his childhood growing up in Vallejo, Sonoma County, and the Crivelli Family Dairy in Napa. After moving to Point Reyes Station at the age of 14, he graduated from Tomales High School in 1955. While earning his AA from College of Marin, he began working at Cheda Chevrolet in 1957 where he would work for the next 49 years, retiring in 2005. Al proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1961 until he was honorably discharged in 1966. People from all over West Marin knew Al as a jovial patriotic man whose voice would often carry from one end of the town to the other. He always had a story and smile that would light up a room. He loved his family, his friends and his annual 4th of July barbeques that would always draw large crowds. He enjoyed hunting elk, deer, ducks and went on many fishing trips. He faithfully rooted for his beloved Oakland A’s and attended countless games at the Oakland Coliseum. He was a member of The Native Sons of the Golden West Chapter #183, Ducks Unlimited, The American Legion and the Tomales Regional History Center.
Alex is survived by his wife Nancy, of 45 years, his children Cynthia (Michael), Joe (Sara), David and Anthony, Grandchildren, Austin (Lydia), Tyler (Jessie) and great grandchildren Jamison, Evelyn, and Johnna. He also leaves behind his sister Janeen (Ed), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
