Alfred J. "Fred" Guglielmetti

Passed away peacefully, with his daughter and caregiver by his side, on December 29, 2021, in the same family ranch home in which he was born 103 years ago.  Fred is the husband of the late Phyllis Guglielmetti. Loving father of John Guglielmetti, Kathe Guglielmetti and the late Tom Logan.  Dear grandfather of Karrie Logan Marsh, Luke Logan and T.J. Logan. Father-in-law to Dawn Fowler Pfrenger, and great grandfather of Dylan Marsh. Brother of the late Alice Guglielmetti.

The Petaluma native is a member of the pioneer Guglielmetti and Gilardi families. He was a dairy rancher his entire life on the family ranch. He also worked as a welder at Mare Island in Vallejo, repairing damaged battleships, during WWII. Additionally, he built and sold cement livestock troughs, some of which, are still standing around the county. Fred's strong work ethic led him to carry 2 jobs/businesses simultaneously, for many years.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Fred's loyal caregiver, Connie Santos, for her loving and steadfast care for the last 6 years. In his last days, Fred expressed to Connie, "we made a great team".

Private family services will be held and private interment will be at the family plot at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. The family prefer memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
