Alice Georgie Lentz

Alice Georgie Lentz - Alice died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Penngrove on August 18, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, Nahmen and Louise Nissen, her sister Maybelle Blos, and her husband Herbert. She is survived by her son Kenneth Lentz, her grand-daughters Andrea Adrid, Rachel Lentz and Janine Lentz, and her great-grandchildren Emily and Sarah Adrid and Nicholas and Jasmine Watson. She was a long-time member of the Penngrove Social Firemen, a charter female radio operator for the Penngrove Volunteer Fire Department and an assistant to the Penngrove Postmaster. She was a solid fixture in Penngrove for decades and will be dearly missed by family and her many friends. The family requests that donations in memory of Alice be made to your charity of choice. Alice was born in Sebastopol, California on September 18, 1912, and resided in Sonoma County most of her life. She moved at an early age to Penngrove with her family and she graduated from Petaluma High School. Shortly after graduation she married her high school sweetheart Herb, and the couple moved to San Francisco. After a brief sojourn in the City, they returned to Penngrove where they resided for the remainder of their lives.
