Alice Mary Trayler

Passed away on July 31, 2017 in Windsor at the age of 93 years.  Devoted wife of the late Richard L. “Dick” Trayler.  Cherished mother of Douglas Trayler (Leellen) of Windsor.  Adored grandmother of Verna Dreisbach, Richard Trayler, Stephanie Johnson, Justin Trayler, and Ashley Trayler.  Beloved great-grandmother of seven.  Survived by one sister, numerous nieces and nephews, and predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.

Alice was born, reared, and educated in Los Banos, CA.  She met and married her soulmate, Dick, while he worked in Los Banos.  After he returned from WWII, the two wed in February 1946 and together they enjoyed 66 years of marriage.  Alice worked for Linch Jewelers in Petaluma for 35 years helping customers and bookkeeping.  In her spare time, she volunteered for Sacks Thrift Avenue, the Petaluma Kitchen, and Christmas Cheer.  Devout in her faith, Alice was an active member of St. Vincent’s Church in Petaluma and the YLI.  Above all, she loved her family.  She was a wonderful woman and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 2:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or Memorial Hospice, 439 College Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401.  Interment: Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
