Amelia Vanoni Brog

Passed away peacefully, Sunday, June  4, 2017 in Petaluma at the age of 100. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Brog and her siblings, Katie Klimansky, Lawrence Vanoni and Mario Vanoni. Dear aunt of Katherine Klimansky, Pamee Collette, Paul Klimansky and the late Peter Klimansky and Mary Roccamora. Amelia is also survived by several great nieces and nephews as well as her dear friends and neighbors, Renie and Clyde Thomas.

Amelia was a member of the pioneer Vanoni family of Tomales, where she was born, reared and educated.  She lived in Tomales area until moving to Petaluma in 1975. She worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII and late as an LVN at Marin General Hospital. Amelia also worked as a caregiver for many years.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Entombment will follow at Tomales Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church or to Church of the Assumption of Mary, Tomales. PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY.
