Died of an age related illness on June 13, 2017 at the age of 84. Angelo was the dedicated father to five children. He was raised in Cavaso del Tomba, Italy by his grandparents and moved to California with his brother Tranquillo when they were teens in 1946. They joined their father Pete Conte and step mother Yolanda here in America to start a new life. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean War and he had a long career as a carpenter retiring in 1997. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing and hiking Mount Eddy. He was deeply committed to the Boys and Girls Club community. He volunteered for years using his carpentry skills to upgrade facilities at Camp Mendocino. He will be remembered for his outrageous sense of humor and his personal motto “Life is short so we might as well have fun living it.”
He will be greatly missed by his brother Tranquillo Conte and his wife Maria of Reno, as well as his sister Deledda Herrera of Bend, OR, his children Loni Everson and her husband Jess, Dave Conte and his wife April, Angela Conte, Ray Conte, and Nikki Conte, his four grandchildren, Spencer Conte, Danielle Conte, Nathan Conte and Marcel Rubinelli with his wife Tara and their children; Syria, Javier, Natalia, Liliana (Angelo’s great grandchildren). We are grateful to Petaluma Valley Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday July 9th, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Petaluma Women’s Club, 518 B Street, Petaluma, CA. Donations may be made in Angelo’s name to Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, John N. Callander Administrative Office, 380 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94102-4454.
