Anita C. Cedar

Anita C. Cedar - On July 19, Anita Cedar, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother died surrounded by family and friends at home following a long battle with cancer. She was 73. Anita was born February 7, 1938 in New York to Joseph and Bertha Sternchos. In 1960 she married William Cedar. During her career, Anita was an inspiring kindergarten teacher and a teacher of parenting skills to teen mothers. William and Anita moved from New York to Sonoma County in 1996 when their first grandchild was born. A memorial service for Anita will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary at 301 South Main St. in Sebastopol on Sunday July 24, at 11:45 in the morning. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Anitaâ??s honor to the Ceres Project, PO Box 1562, Sebastopol, CA 95473.
