Anita Elizabeth Olson

ANITA E. OLSON passed away on October 2, 2013 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late George C. "Bud" Olson. Cherished mother of Gail Rodgers and Joyce Olson both of Petaluma. Beloved grandmother of Mike (Tina), Matt, Nicky, Bryan, and Chad (Noel). Adored great-grandmother of Tyler. Loving daughter of the late Adeline and Robert Jones. Dear sister of Marge Rossbach and the late Eddie, Bobby, and Mervin Dunn. Survived by several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-granddaughter. Age: 87 years. Anita was born in San Francisco and reared and educated in its Butchertown sector. She met and married Bud on October 30, 1948. Together they enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage. They moved to Petaluma in 1957 and she has resided there for over 60 years. Anita worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at their Petaluma gas station. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling in a league, playing bingo, and especially gardening. She could grow anything. She had a fondness for her little dogs Tigger and Tink. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed measuring their heights on the wall and also back-to-back with her great-grandson, Tyler. She had a fiesty spirit and will be missed. The family wishes to thank Nurse Ratchet (Chell) for her kind support, love and care. At her request, no services will be held.
