Anna Marie Lavio

Born in Petaluma, July 14, 1959 and passed away peacefully after a brief illness, July 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Cherished daughter of Josephine and Leo Lavio. Beloved sister of Beatrice (Mike) Charles, Christine (Eugene) Camozzi, Diane (Jeff) Rowley and Cathy (Doug) Ielmorini. Loving niece of Elsie Albertoni and Giacomo Manni. Adored aunt of Lucas, Daniel and Amanda Charles, Kate, Kelley and Maria Camozzi, Dominic, Teressa and Stephanie Rowley, Ben, Rico, Grace and Giovani Ielmorini. Dear cousin of Linda Dusek and Richard Albertoni.The family is also grateful to the caring staff of Bentley Unit at Sonoma Developmental Center. Anna lived at home until 1979, where she attended special classes at Valley Vista Elementary School. Since then, she has resided at Sonoma Developmental Center in Eldridge, at Malone, and most recently at Bentley Unit. Anna loved people, always remembering their names, enjoyed drawing, birds and movies. Anna always had a positive attitude. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be at 7:00 pm at the mortuary. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Private entombment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefer memorials be made to Bentley Special Needs Trust Account (Bentley SPTA), Bentley Cottage Unit Supervisor, SDC, P.O. Box 1493, P-6, Eldridge, CA 95431. or to your favorite charity.
