Annette Helene Burbank

Annette Helene Burbank passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 in Petaluma, California, at the age of 70. Annette was born on January 24, 1951, in Petaluma, California to Anna and Walt Burbank. She was the third of five children, and attended Tomales Elementary School and then graduated from Tomales High School in 1969. After graduation Annette attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Bay City Dental Assisting school in San Francisco. She was a registered dental assistant and spent her career with Dr. George Lane Sr., Dr. George (Bill) Lane Jr., and Dr. George Bunnell Jr. for 41 years. Annette loved her work and remained in touch with many of the patients she met throughout the years of working there.

Annette loved spending her time with family and was a very dedicated aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews. She attended all their events and always let them know she was proud of them. She was a passionate snow skier for many years and traveled to places to explore different types of challenges. She was a Future Farmers of America Sweetheart and traveled to colleges for presentations and competitions. She was a member of the Girls Athletic Association at Tomales High school as she loved sports and competing. She often shared the sheer joy she experienced with her travels to Germany with her dear grandma Sophie. Annette loved her garden and spent hours grooming and growing her flowers. She was always there for her family whenever they needed something, whether it was painting chairs for a wedding, making cookies for teachers, or taking someone skiing.

Annette is survived by her sisters Georgia Marino, Nancy Freitas (Darrel) and Eileen Graybeal (Dave), Sister in law, Linda Burbank, nieces and nephews, Jim Marino (Gina), Lisa Willardson (Terry), Kyle Burbank(Felicia) Mark and Barre (Angie) Freitas, Matthew and Haley Graybeal, great nieces Jamie Charles (Lucas), Jenna Marino, Taylor Willardson and Alexis Freitas, great-great niece, Annie Rae Charles and nephew Khai Burbank.

She was preceded in death by parents Walt and Anna Burbank, nephew Darren Burbank, Brother Bob Burbank, Brother in law Terry Marino, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary. Private interment will occur at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice
