Anthony Kevin Cahill - CAHILL, ANTHONY KEVIN (Captain, SFFD, retired)" Entered into rest, June 13, 2008 in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved fifty-nine year husband of Lois V. Cahill of Santa Rosa, CA. Loving father of Daniel M. (Elena) Cahill of Novato, CA, Karen L. (William) Dundon of Cape Cod, Thomas A. Cahill of Elk Grove and Kevin M. (Lene Johannessen) of Norway. Adored grandfather of ten. Loving brother of Connie Weese of Watsonville and Ben Cahill of Santa Cruz. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of San Francisco, Ca, and lifelong California resident, age 86 years. Anthony is a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1946. He served on the San Francisco Fire Department for thirty-two years, retiring as Captain, a position he held for the last fourteen years of his employ. He had been a member of the Santa Rosa Druids and an avid parishioner of many of the local catholic churches. Anthony has been a member of our community for the past thirty-six years. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2008 in Madelyne"s Chapel at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405. Private interment. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Anthony"s name are requested to be directed to the St. Joseph"s Indian School, P.O. Box 100, Chamberlain, SD, 57325.
