Antony “Tony” James Gray
Tony James Gray was born on May 13, 1962, in Romford, Essex, England, and later made his roots across the ocean in Northern California of United States. Where he built a life filled with family, friendship, and purpose.
On April 5, 2026, at the age of 63, he passed away peacefully at home in Petaluma, California.
Tony was married to Christine Earhart in 1986 and later remarried to Deanna O'Reily in 2013. He is lovingly remembered by his partner, Joanne Jennings since 2019.
Tony was a devoted father to his daughter, Chelsea Gray; his son, Antony Gray II; and his stepdaughter, Alyssa Garcia. He was a proud grandfather to Aaliyah, Antony III, Aleija, and Alani. His children and grandchildren brought him immense joy.
Along with Tony's cherished long time school friends in England are Bubba, Brian, Ray, Chappy, and Alan. Also, his extended chosen family in California Joy and Steve King, Meagan and Manny Peysson, Alicia and Blake Stovall, and Mike Arrigoni.
He was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Cartlidge, his father John Gray and grand son Michael "Mikey".
Tony will be remembered for his deep love for his family and friends, his unwavering faith in recovery, and his dedication to supporting others through Narcotics Anonymous. His strength and compassion touched many lives, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
He had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, race tracks, traveling, learning his history in London, and enjoyed the views of the ocean. Places where he felt most alive and free. Above all, Tony cherished time spent with those he loved.
Tony’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he adored, and the strength he shared so generously with others. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
