Arch Stewart - Arch Stewart passed away at his Cotati residence on July 28, 2011. Loving husband of the late Barbara Bennett Stewart. Devoted father of Rick Stewart (Mindy) of Cotati, Doug Stewart (Rae) of Hawaii, Ken Stewart (Nancy) of Petaluma, Tim Stewart (Pam) of Rohnert Park, Scott Stewart, and Michelle Stewart both of Cotati. Cherished grandfather of Caitlin Stewart, Kelsey Stewart, Heath Blackwell (Katie), Sierra Stewart, Michael Stewart (Kristin), Amber Stewart, Cortney Stewart, Colby Stewart, Megan Lowder (Isaiah), Gillian Stewart, Jocelyn Stewart, Connor Stewart, Andrew Pharris, Daniel Steger and great-grandfather of Kate, Lexi, and Kylie. Dear brother of Ralph Stewart (Alice) of Santa Rosa, Anita Lindquist of AZ, and the late Joe Gaupin (Esther), Blanche Martin (Soph), and Chuck Stewart (Joan). Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Vigil will be held the same day at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati, CA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952. He was very active in the Cotati political arena being the former mayor and city councilman. Arch was a member of St. Josephâ??s Church, St. Josephâ??s Menâ??s Club, Knights of Columbus, Cotati Lions Club, and a volunteer fireman for Cotati. He was the owner operator of Archs Glass in Cotati for 47 years and before that he was a California Highway patrolman for over 10 years. Arch was an avid hunter and fisherman and a devout 49er and Giants fan.
