Dr. Arman Frederick Frederickson - Dr. Arman Frederick Frederickson passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:20 p.m. at his home in Petaluma. Arman had just had his 90th birthday. He was surrounded by his adoring daughters; Mary Christine Frederickson of Canyon, TX; Clover Diane Neil of Boss, MO; Penny Lynch of Petaluma; Kimberley Erixon of Penngrove; and Sigrid Montecinos of Taos, NM. He was the beloved husband of Mary Maxine Stubblefield for over 60 years. She preceded him in death in 2004. He is survived by his sisters Sylvia Merrick and Elvine Carmen; eight grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Above all he was the best of fathers to his five daughters; insuring their higher education and adventurous exposure to the world through travel and cultural immersion. His family always came first and he and his wife Mary were true soul mates. After his semi-retirement Arman had been writing a historical novel on the subject of Jesus. Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA, 763-4131 with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be on Friday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma, CA. Arman was an extraordinary man with a lifetime of personal academic and business achievements. He was born in Glenboro, Manitoba, Canada on May 5, 1918, came to the U.S. in 1923 and was naturalized in 1940. He was a lieutenant in the U. S. Naval Air Force from 1942-45 where he served as a pilot, a trainer of desert survival and later worked on scientific research for the government. He remained in the Reserves for many years.
