Arthur Peter Henriksen

Art was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1934, grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut, and resided in Sonoma County for the past 48 years.  He passed away at home on June 6th surrounded by his loving family.  He was a journeyman electrician and a member of the IBEW for 64 years.  He had a deep love of family, a wonderful wit, pride of his garden and he delighted in sharing his wisdom and knowledge with others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce; their 3 daughters, Robyn Fredericks (John), Leslie Smith (Jerry), Paula Neider (Dan Whelan); 5 grandchildren, Andrea Robertson (Casey), Nicole Lestanguet (Joe), Brian Henriksen (Maleeka Chrichi), Daris Smith (Melanie Brown), Kenny Smith (T-Ray); 7 great-grandchildren, Paris, Ryder, Blake, Halle, Emma, James, Juliet.  He is also survived by Lisa Henriksen, mother of Paris and Ryder, Haley Nelson, mother of Blake, sisters-in-law Phyllis Scott and Barbara Henriksen, brother-in-law Leslie Scott, dear friends Hal and Ilene Cody, Ron and Lynne Head. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel White of Kaiser Permanente for his kindness and compassion through Art's illness.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy, Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice of Petaluma or COTS.
