Arthur David Kaiser

KAISER, ARTHUR DAVID - Entered into rest February 17, 2014 in Santa Rosa, CA. Born on April 25, 1924 in Bloomfield, NJ to the late John and Florence Kaiser, he is also preceded in death by his brothers; Charles Isreal Kaiser and John Raymond Kaiser, as well as a son, Richard Dale Kaiser. After graduating from High School, he went to Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in New York. He sailed on Merchants Ships and the Naval Reserve for five years during WWII, working as a Steam Fitting Contractor for two years. In March of 1947, he married the late Doris Smith and had four sons; Jeff, Barry, Dale and Steve. This same year commenced his employment with Travelers Insurance Company in Newark, NJ, often transferred to many places and he eventually retired in Indianapolis, IN on May 1, 1984. In 1985, he and Doris moved to Oakmont, were they were active in and enjoyed golf, lawn bowling, dominos and many other activities, including the Masonic Lodge. Doris passed away in 2001. Dave then met Bernice Hardaway at the Oakmont Community Church and were married on November 27, 2004. He is survived by Bernice, his three sons; Jeffrey David (Anny) Kaiser of Colorado Springs, CO, Barry Alan Kaiser of Kingman, AZ and Stephen Robert (Kelly) Kaiser of Petaluma, CA, as well as four grandchildren; Ambar, Christina, Dale and Kimberly Kaiser. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409). Private inurnment; San Joaquin National Cemetery (32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA, 95322). As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Dave's memory are preferred by his family to be made to Memorial Hospice (821 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401).
