Arthur Lee Mclean

Arthur Lee "Mac" McLean - Passed away on May 17, 2012 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of the late Shirley McLean. Beloved father of Robert McLean, David McLean, and Michael McLean. Adored grandfather of six. Arthur was born in Birmingham, AL on July 7, 1923 to Clara and Arthur McLean. At his request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma 416 Payran St. Petaluma CA 94952. On June 13, 1941, Mac enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving his country for 6 years. Arthur participated in American Area Campaign, World War II Victory, American Defense and the African European-Middle East. He flew with Squadron Forty-Three flying a PBY in missions in the Southern Asiatic-Pacific and also with Squadron Forty-Five flying a PBY in more than 20 missions in the Aleutian Islands Area. He was recognized with medals, citations, lapel buttons and commendations. On May 16, 1947, he was demobilized and honorably discharged.
