Arthur Richard Wiesner

At the age of 84, and a current resident of Santa Rosa, CA, formerly of Saratoga, CA and Park Ridge, NJ, Artie passed away peacefully on September 26, 2016, surrounded by his devoted wife of 63 years and loving family. Beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Etcheberry), whom he met during their high school years in Park Ridge, NJ and married in 1953. Devoted father of Michele (Glenn) Taylor of San Jose, CA and Craig (Julie) Wiesner of Santa Rosa, CA, cherished grandfather of Margie Taylor of San Jose, CA, Tory (Bryan) Howarth of San Luis Obispo, CA, Ali Wiesner of Davis, CA, and Baelei and Caiti Wiesner, both of Santa Rosa, CA. He is predeceased by his only sibling, his sister, Elvira. Art, known as "Artie" and "Papoo" to his family and friends, had a long career on both coasts of the country in the tractor, implement and construction equipment industries, and he liked nothing better than recount his extensive experience, and to remember past customers and business associates. He was a previous owner of North Bay Tractor in Rohnert Park, CA, and a widely known member of the business community in the Sonoma County area. Art was also a "blue oval" kind of guy, who owned many different Ford vehicles over his life, culminating with his 1964 Ford Mustang convertible project car in his garage. He was always ready to "talk Fords" with anyone. Family and friends are invited to attend Artie's Funeral Service on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409). Private family interment service will follow at Santa Rosa Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers Memorial Contributions in Artie's name be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project (4899 Belford Road; Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL, 32256) or to the Sonoma County Chapter of Hospice by the Bay (190 W.
