Barbara Finley-Badham

Dr. Barbara Finley-Badham passed away in Petaluma on April 11, 2022 at the age of 68.

Born in San Francisco at Mary's Help Hospital on June 10, 1953, Barbara grew up in the town of South San Francisco, attending El Camino High School.

Barbara was a native of Petaluma for over 38 years. She attended San Francisco State University, eventually receiving her PhD in Psychology from the University of California at Berkley. Barbara served in private practice in addition to working as a Petaluma City Schools Psychologist for over 37 years. Barb was caring, compassionate, loyal, intelligent, highly educated, opinionated, orally possessed, with a warm, loving sense of humor. She helped the people in her community in their times of trouble or need. People were drawn to her.

Barb is survived by: her husband, Steve; daughter, Elizabeth Cooper; grandchild, Stella; brothers-in-law, Paul (Lisa) and Rev. Jeff Finley; stepson, Ryan Finley (Shalyndria); niece, Heather LaLonde (John Paul); along with the entire Finley and Barb's Australian family.

A celebration of life will take place at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary on Friday, May 20th at 11 a.m., 850 Keokuk St. in Petaluma, with a gathering at the Petaluma Elks Club afterwards. Anyone wishing to honor her memory, please donate to any organization that supports the advancement of women or to the Village Network of Petaluma.
