January 18, 1935 — October 21, 2007

Barbara Martin - Passed away peacefully at home, October 21, 2007 with her husband of more than fifty years, Danny, by her side. After many years of battling cancer with grace and courage, she left us for a better place without pills or pain. She was the glue that held the family together and will be deeply missed by her husband; Danny Martin of Santa Rosa, her daughters; Debbie (John) Sevilla of Sonoma, Susan (Corey) Murphy of Santa Rosa, her son; Tom (Lisa) Martin of Santa Rosa, her sister; Judy (Don) Smith of Santa Rosa, her sister-in-law; Sally Martin-Pascoe of Newport Beach, her brother and sister-in-law; Jim and Jeanette Martin of San Anselmo, as well as by her grandchildren; Christopher Laganiere, Breanne Laganiere, Joey Sevilla, Krista Higgins, Danyel Higgins, Mkayla Murphy, Caroline and Katelyn Martin. Barbara is also survived by one great grandchild, Georgia-Grace, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 398-10th Street, Santa Rosa, CA. Committal service will follow with interment at Santa Rosa Memorial Park. LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Hwy., Santa Rosa, CA, 95409) will provide visitation hours, Friday, October 26, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Vigil/Rosary Service to be conducted at 7:00 P.M. in the main chapel. Family prefers memorial contributions in Barbara"s memory be made to the Lymphoma Society-Development Department, 1390 Market Street; Suite 1200, San Francisco, CA, 94102"or- Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401.
