Barbara Uyeda - Barbara Uyeda passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007. Loving wife of Michael Uyeda of Petaluma, CA. Devoted daughter of Helen and William Stumbaugh of Cupertino, CA. Dear sister of Marilyn Davis of Boise, ID, Sherilyn Green of Jackson, CA, Lori Stumbaugh of Cupertino, CA, and Lacey (James) Culver of Modesto, CA. Dear Sister-in-law of Jean Uyeda of Santa Rosa, CA, Susan Uyeda of Petaluma, CA, Joyce and Bill DiBartolo of Rocklin, CA, and Ruth and Tom Hatano of Monterey, CA. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Enmanji Buddhist Temple Memorial Hall, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy. So., Sebastopol, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanford Univ. Medical Center, Heart/Lung Transplant Program, 300 Pasteur Dr., Palo Alto, CA 94304. Barbara was born in Caldwell, ID on June 26, 1956. She married Michael on June 19, 1982 and moved to Petaluma in 1993. Born with a congenital heart defect, and having to face physically challenging adversities her entire life, Barbara was fortunate to receive a heart and double-lung transplant on October 21, 2000, at Stanford Univ. Medical Center. She then survived subsequent battles with lymphoma and congestive heart failure, always being a persistent fighter.
