Betty Jane Morgan

Betty Jane Morgan, a 50-year resident of the Petaluma area, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016. Born, Betty Jane Cobb, outside Dothan, Alabama to Barney and Johnnie Lee Cobb, Betty is survived by her three daughters, Diane Morgan, Gwen Morgan-Edwards , Linda Stice and daughter-in-law Cherie Morgan. She also leaves behind her sisters Johnnie Ruth Capan, Nellie Moore, sister-in-law Alice Cobb, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, son Wayne and her brother James Allen. Betty came with her young family to the Petaluma area in 1966. She loved her adopted state of California and made it her home for the remainder of her life, yet she never lost her southern charm or her lovely Georgia accent. She retired from a local-area non-profit organization after many years of service and went on to enjoy spending time with her large extended family. We will all miss her greatly. Our hearts are heavy, but our memories will be sweet. We are grateful to have had such a loving mother, sister, and grandmother in our lives. A celebration of Betty's life is being planned by her children.
