Betty Gubisch Rattigan

Betty Gubisch Rattigan of Santa Rosa died on July 22, 2021 at the age of 100.  Born and raised in Washington, DC, Betty met her future husband Joe Rattigan in grammar school and, after their marriage in 1943, moved with him to California after World War II.  Betty and Joe came to Santa Rosa in 1950 and raised their children in the home they built in the Grace Tract.  Betty lived in this home for over 65 years until her passing.  Betty was Joe’s devoted partner in his life of public service and a loving mother to Catharine, Anne, Michael, Tom, Patrick and Tim.  She was adored by her 12 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.  The Rattigan family is deeply grateful for the care Betty received from Dulce and Aristedes, Emily and Jacky.  Contributions in Betty’s memory can be made to the Sonoma County Food Bank.  Rattigan family members gathered privately for a celebration of Betty’s life.  She will be deeply missed.
