BETTY ILEEN ROSSOTTI passed away on August 24, 2016 at home at the age of 93 with her family around her. Born and raised in Petaluma to Walt and Clare Aretz and graduated from Petaluma High School. Devoted wife of the late Victor Rossotti, who passed away in 1977. Beloved mother of Cathy Cardoza (Ed), Mike Rossotti (Jolene), and Vicky Sparks (Alan). Cherished Nana to grandchildren: Gina Marino, Lisa Yerion, Julie Corda, Brian Sparks, Tony Rossotti, and Andy Rossotti; and eleven great-grandchildren. Good friend to Reba Dolcini.
Betty worked during WWII at Hamilton Air Force Base in the tool crib. She was an avid stamp collector her entire life. She always had a crochet hook in her hands, making beautiful crocheted pictures and doilies. Her family was her number one priority. While raising her family, she was known as the “hot dog lady” at McNear Elementary School running the monthly hot dog sales for years. She also ran the snack bar at all the weekly roost dances in town.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Carol Smith, for her love, support, and care she gave her the last year.
