Betty Joyce Scheuer

Betty J. Scheuer passed away August 14, 2017. Betty was born on July 12, 1926 in Omaha NE and came to California as a child and was raised in Woodland, CA. Shortly after World War II, while attending Santa Rosa Junior College as a Nursing student, she met her late husband B.G. "Buz" Scheuer. They married in Sebastopol and built a life together with their children in Sonoma County. Betty worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years before her retirement in 1988. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with Buz and doting on her grandchildren. We know that she is dancing in heaven surrounded by her loved ones with a gin martini in hand. She leaves behind 5 children, Christine (Leonard) Ingrassia, Mark (Mary-Ann) Scheuer, Jacquilyn (Kurt) Schieber, Paul (Carolyn) Scheuer and Theresa (John) MacCallum. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Betty also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Betty was predeceased by her three brothers Robert, Gordon and Larry Shriver. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy Service on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409).
