Bill J. Scarpete “Bullshipper”, age 87, born April 26, 1939. Passed away on July 5, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
Started trucking in 1963 as owner operator hauling hay and livestock across eleven western states.
Survived by wife Carin of 65 years; sons Dennis (Karen) and Kevin (Andrea); grandchildren Nicole Gromala (Ivan), Dominique, Justin (Tray), Butch, Jenna (Ellie), Frank, and Fred; sisters Emily Amaral (Jesse) and Judy Lewis (Monica); great grandchildren Wyatt, Caden, and Mason; and numerous family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Joe Scarpete and Virginia Vogle.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 10th from 4-7pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma. Funeral service on Saturday, July 11th at 11am at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary.
