Billie June Forman

BILLIE JUNE FORMAN, born May 19, 1927, a resident of Petaluma for over 75 years, passed away on January 12, 2016, at the age of 88. Married to Milton Lawrence Forman for 63 years, who preceded her in death three years ago. Billie was preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Jo Kennedy. They shared many twin sister moments and numerous laughs over the years when people would mistake one for the other. Also preceded in death by her siblings Juanita and Bobby. And the sister to Donna Fay Sorenson. Mother to Becky Lewis (Don), Margie Forman (Bill Neer), Don Forman (Donna), Vicky Spitzer (Don). Grandmother to Donny Lewis (Erica), Catherine Atwood (Chris), Joanna Lewis (Paul), Deanna Logue (Joe), Valerie Logue (Alex), David Logue, Zachary Forman (Jessica), Travis Baugh and Jamie Ronsheimer. Great-grandmother to Story Lewis, Elizabeth and Annabelle Atwood, Alianna Stewart, Ben Logue, Jacob Logue, Luke Anderson, Emily Williams, Violet Zaytsev, Caitlyn Logue-Segale, John Forman, Mikaylee and Brylee Ronsheimer and Beatrice and Alvin Njoroge. Billie worked for over 40 years with Milton Forman of Forman Plumbing, Inc. In 1964, she began donating blood over the years at the Blood Bank of the Redwoods, and donated many gallons of blood. Also in her earlier years, Billie took tremendous pride in her large vegetable garden that she tended to yearly until her health no longer allowed her to garden. Whenever Billie knew of someone she knew expecting a child, she would sew them a baby blanket. It's hard to say how many of those blankets have kept the children of Petaluma warm. Mom never forgot a birthday or anniversary, and would spend time thoughtfully picking out just the perfect card for whoever she was choosing a card for. Billie graciously welcomed all who come to her home. A special warm thank you to Flora Njoroge, mom's dear friend and recent caregiver, your presence was invaluable to our family. Private interment was held at B'nai Israel Cemetery.
