Bob L. (Robert) Wilkinson

BOB WILKINSON passed away peacefully in his Novato home with his daughters at his sides, surrounded by all of his favorite memories. Bob and Mary’s hearts are once again whole and united, his eyes are twinkling, and they are dancing happily, together forever.

Bob was born in Petaluma, and spent his entire life in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Bob was an incredibly hard-working man. He excelled at any job he had, but found his calling in construction. He began as a sheetrock hanger and had the skill, intelligence, and drive to build a highly successful career in commercial project management.

Bob began his journey with Mary at the young age of sixteen. They married in Petaluma - June, 1964, and raised their two daughters, Cheri and Bobbi, in Novato.

Though his travel and adventures brought him great joy, Bob’s greatest pleasure in life was his family. Spending time with those he loved most was his favorite thing to do, whether it was traveling, playing games, or becoming the “Best Field-Tripping Papa” for his grandchildren, Mary and Michael.

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Cheri-Lee Stompe (Stephen Patrick Hoskins) and Bobbi Alm (Vance), and his two grandchildren, Mary and Michael Stompe. He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Reid (Lee). Bob was sadly predeceased by his loving wife, Mary, in 2017. He was also predeceased by his parents, Lee Wilkinson and Dorothy Albertoni, as well as his sister, Janice Reid.

A memorial service will be held at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bob to Continuum Care Hospice Foundation. www.ContinuumHospice.com
