Brenda Gail Andrada, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on November 8, 2025, with her devoted lifetime partner, Craig Hartquist, by her side.
Brenda overcame two major medical obstacles in her life. She survived a heart attack in 2012 and beat breast cancer in 2024. Although her fighting spirit was always present, this fighter has now finished her fight.
Brenda lived a life full of energy, love, and adventure. She adored her grandsons, Beau and Connor, who brought her endless joy. She loved taking long drives, and her passion for racing cars and trucks was well known—Brenda didn’t just love the sport; she competed, and she was great at it. Known affectionately as the “Gadget Queen,” Brenda always had the newest gadget.
Her happiest moments were the simple ones: evenings on the porch, sharing a glass of wine with the love of her life and their two dogs, Rio and Shiloh. She loved taking them to the dog park to play. Her dogs brought her so much joy and laughter—they were her kids, too. Brenda also enjoyed karaoke nights with family and friends, where her laughter and voice filled the room. She loved cooking for family on Sundays.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Maebell, father Lee Johnson, brothers Jonny, Jerry, Michael, and James, and her sisters Judy and Sharon.
She is survived by her devoted partner Craig Hartquist; her brother Tommy Johnson; her sisters Beverly Flowers (Donald) and Janet Tapian; her son Michael (Beth); and her grandsons Beau and Connor.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at a later date.
