Brenda Joyce Shahan

Brenda Joyce Mynatt-Shahan was born on June 4, 1945, in Arkansas. She gained her wings on May 15, 2025, just a few weeks short of her 80th birthday in Petaluma.

Brenda graduated from Larmie High School and attended the University of Wyoming. Some of her favorite activities were dancing and teaching dance. She was a member of the ABWA, and the Petaluma Women’s Club, where she enjoyed the many friends she made.

Some favorite hobbies were traveling, trying new restaurants, decorating for every holiday, and if shopping was an Olympic sport, she would hold a gold medal.

Brenda was funny, quick-witted, feisty, and never afraid to give her opinion. She loved her family and friends, her dogs and was the first to jump in and offer support to anyone who needed help. She loved glitz, glamor and sparkles.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Lucille Mynatt, her husband, Bob Shahan, and her beloved daughter, Tammi Percy. She is survived by her sister, Debbie Cuccaro, her uncle, RD Green, her nieces and nephew, Amanda and Jennifer Cuccaro, Ashley and Jake Mayes, and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 26th at 1pm at Glenn Ranch, 4690 D Street Extension, Petaluma. Please wear your best bling, pull on your boots and come with stories to tell!!
