Caroline M. Desouza

CAROLINE M. DeSOUZA passed away on December 9, 2014 in Petaluma. Devoted daughter of the late Maria and Manuel DeSouza. Beloved sister of Bernadette DeSouza and the late Mary D. Nunes. Treasured aunt of Agnes Houlihan (Ed) of SD, Mary Ann Silveira (Joe) of Sebastopol, Regina Aggio (Val) of Santa Rosa, Manuel Nunes and Joseph Nunes (Mercedes) all of Turlock, and Catherine Summerhays (Kim) of Novato. Survived by numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Age: 96 years. Caroline was born in Reno, NV, but reared and educated in West Marin, graduating from Tomales High School. For 35 years, she worked for the Novato Post Office. Caroline was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Novato and a member of SPRSI of Novato and several Holy Ghost Societies. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, 1806 Novato Blvd., Novato. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. In Caroline's memory, Masses are appreciated. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
