Carolyn Marie Almeida

CAROLYN MARIE ALMEIDA passed away on March 30, 2017 at the age of 59 years.  Devoted wife of Craig Foley of Petaluma.  Cherished daughter of the late Marie and Joe Almeida.  Adored sister of Linda Almeida of Rohnert Park and Sharon Almeida of Roberts Creek, BC.  Dear sister-in-law of Douglas Asher of Sausalito and Jill Archer of Niwot, CO.  Beloved aunt of Kyle Harris of Petaluma and Michael Harris of Penngrove. Precious niece of Sue Davis of Petaluma. Sweet step-mother of Michael Foley of Penngrove.

Carolyn was born in Petaluma but grew up in Penngrove and graduated from Rancho-Cotate High School.  She worked in the telecom industry, but she was most known for her vivacious personality and kind heart.  Carolyn spent many hours volunteering for the Sonoma County Fair and took on the special role of bereavement counselor with Hospice of Petaluma.  An animal lover, she took in many stray cats and dogs, giving them a good home. Over the years, Carolyn faced many health issues.  She was a fighter and never complained; she was just happy to be here.  Carolyn was a wonderful woman; she will be missed by her family and friends, both locally and abroad.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:30 pm at 901 W. School St., Cotati, CA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation, or NRDC (National Resources Defense Council).
