Carolyn Ann Billing (Brown)

Carolyn Ann Billing (Brown) passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in San Rafael, California. She was born on February 11, 1948, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and built a life defined by kindness, service, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.

Carolyn was a cherished mother to Erik Billing (Krista), Alissia Pope (Alex), and Ryan Billing (Heather). She took immense joy in being a loving grandmother to Bryce Billing, Samuel and Grace Pope, and Mackenzie Billing. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her warmth and generosity into every moment spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Brown, and her brother, Wayne Brown. She is survived by her siblings Steve (Sylvia) Brown, Stewart (Gail) Brown, Julie (Bob) Balkenbush, Wesley (Martha) Brown, and sister‑in‑law Carolyn Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry her memory forward.

For more than 55 years, Carolyn was a devoted member of Petaluma Christian Church, where her faith guided her life and her relationships.

Carolyn’s legacy is one of faith, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Petaluma Christian Church, 1160 Schuman Lane, Petaluma, CA 94952. Internment will be held privately at Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
