Carolyn Ann Moreda

Carolyn Ann Moreda peacefully passed away at the age of 92, on July 24th, 2025.

Carolyn was born in Vallejo, California and raised in Rodeo, California. Carolyn is the daughter of Frank and Albertina Lawrence. She attended elementary school in Rodeo, California and then attended high school in Crockett California, she graduated from Armstrong College in Berkeley, California, with a business degree.

Carolyn enjoyed going to Portuguese dances where she met her husband, Stanley Moreda. They married in 1955, and she moved to Petaluma to begin their journey. Together, they raise their daughters, Pam and Cheryl in Petaluma.

She enjoyed sewing many outfits throughout our childhood years for us. It brought her great joy to give bake goods and knitting blankets for family, friends, neighbors, and her doctors. She also enjoyed going camping and having many parties at home. Mom was very creative and in her mid-years, she found her passion for pottery and ceramics that she made and gave as gifts to many people. She also enjoyed having her grandchildren around and it brought her great pleasure when they visited.

Carolyn proceeded in death by her husband, Stanley Moreda, her parents, Frank and Albertina, Lawrence sister Gerry Bailey (Bill), Lois Ladd (Ken), Her brother-in-law’s William Moreda(Esther), Clarence Moreda (Janet), Joseph Moreda (Peggy), Francis Moreda (Jean). She is survived by her daughters, Pam Gambonini and Cheryl Miller (Kent). G-Ma to Daniel Gambonini (Devon), Michelle Hunter (Trevor), Kevin Miller, Carly Murphy (Andrew), Great Grandma to Audrey and Ashley Gambonini, Mitchell and Mary Murphy, Jaxon and Kenzie Hunter.

Visitation on July 27, 2025, from 5 to 6 PM and Rosary following at 6 PM at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA.

Donations are welcome in her memory to Hospice of Petaluma or your favorite charity.
