Carolyn "Kayo" O'Hara - Carolyn "Kayo""" O'Hara passed away peacefully on November 23, 2009 at her home in Point Reyes Station. Devoted wife of Dr. James P. O'Hara of Point Reyes Station. Cherished mother of David and Jean Thompson, Margaret and David Jay, Katherine and Andrew Barrengos, and Andrew and Rachel Thompson. Loving step-mother of Sheila and Cory Davis, Sean and Tatiana O'Hara, and Stephen and Jodi O'Hara. Dedicated grandmother of 12 grandchildren. Dear sister of James and Norma Haug. Also survived by Larry and Eve Thompson and three nephews "" Carolyn "Kayo""" O'Hara was born in Oak Park, Illinois on December 9, 1941. She was raised and educated in the Chicago area, and pursued her college degree at Morningside College in Iowa. Kayo married Larry Thompson, had four children, and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Kayo had a lifelong passion for the visual arts. She completed her art studies at Bellevue College in Nebraska, and went on to support and promote regional artists through her work at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha. She married Dr. James P. O'Hara on March 17, 1984 and subsequently moved to Point Reyes Station, California in 1996 where she continued to pursue her interest in the visual arts and the environment. Kayo died at home in the arms of her family on November 23, 2009. She will be deeply missed. ""
