Catherine Marie Hannon Albini

January 18, 1940 - February 16, 2026

Catherine Marie Albini passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 at her home in Petaluma, CA. She was born and raised in San Francisco, CA to Patrick and Agnes Hannon.

Cathy attended St. James Girls School and Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco before moving to Sebastopol, CA and graduating from Analy High School in 1957. Cathy worked at Rosenburg’s Department Store in Santa Rosa and Cross Check in Rohnert Park for many years. She also did all the bookkeeping for Albini Meats, the family business for 30 years.

Cathy is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Albini. They were happily married for 62 years and were truly quite the pair, always ready for a gathering with family and friends.

She is also survived by her brother, Matt “Buddy” Hannon (Mary), her loving children, Jolene (Steve) Matteri-Kinkade and Patrick (Nicole) Albini, and her stepchildren, Julie (Jon) Turner and John (Lisa) Albini. Cathy was adored and cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James “GeeGee” Hannon.

Her greatest love besides Joe were her grandkids. She and Joe attended all sporting and dance events as much as possible. She loved watching them, but also loved socializing with all the other parents. She will be truly missed by all.

Services will be held at Parent Sorensen’s Mortuary, 850 Keokuk St. Petaluma, CA on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:00 am.
