Catherine Rose (Carinalli) Nommsen

Catherine Nommsen passed away in Santa Rosa on March 12, 2023 at the age of 79. Lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl Nommsen, children Christine Nommsen Woodbury (Mike), and Curt Nommsen, grandchildren, Mikaela Woodbury and Tyler Woodbury, brother Domenico Carinalli (Lynda), many family members and friends. Preceded by her son, Carl Nommsen, Jr.

Catherine was a dairyman’s wife and raised three children. She served as past president of Northbay Dairywomen’s Organization, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and spending many hours cooking, especially Italian favorites. She also served as a baking judge at the Petaluma Fair for 30 years.

She was also active in a bowling league, played BINGO, and enjoyed lunches, dinners, and movies with friends. She also enjoyed visiting Italy with her family.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary-Sebastopol from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Vigil service at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian Church. Interment at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn.
