Catherine (Cathy) Cerrone

Catherine (Cathy) Cerrone filled her 91 years on this earth with love, dedication to family, and being the best Grammie and Mother that she could be.

Cathy couldn’t finish a sentence without interjecting a laugh, perfecting a unique way of laughing while talking. If it was possible for her to love something more than her family, it was the Red Sox, never missing a game as long as we knew her. She lived life independently, volunteered at Sack’s Hospice generously, and was an inspiration to her extended family in Petaluma and Massachusetts.

Born April 18th, 1931, she represented the ‘greatest’ generation in so many ways. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Marge Pfeffer and husband Bill; daughter Donna Summerfield and husband Neil; son Albert Cerrone and wife Margaret; granddaughters Jenna Green and Laura Gavin and husband Dave, grandsons Albert and Daniel; and her special great granddaughter Hailey.

A Celebratory Mass will be held to honor her life on Monday, August 29th at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St in Petaluma. Masks encouraged.

Grammie would appreciate donations to Sack’s Hospice of Petaluma, 128 Liberty St, Petaluma or the Humane Society of Sonoma County in lieu of flowers.
