Catherine E. Johnson

Catherine E. Johnson - Catherine Elizabeth Johnson passed away on Dec. 31, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Cherished wife of Robert Johnson of Petaluma. Loving mother of Rebecca Johnson (Shawn McCoy)of Santa Rosa and Daniel Johnson and his wife Shelley of Cotati. Dear sister of Dennis Degard and his wife Margaret of Novato. Beloved aunt of Steven Degard, Debbe Stanfel and her husband Ken. Great aunt of Chase Stanfel and Madison Stanfel, all of Santa Rosa. Sister-in-law of Diane Andrews of Livermore and her family. "Chosen" sister of Marie Johnson of San Rafael. Catherine graduated from Marin Catholic in 1955 and enjoyed singing with the Lamplighters prior to being a wife and mother. She sang at her own wedding, and while raising her family in Petaluma she sang with the Harmoniers and Harmonetts until 27 years ago when the cancer took her singing voice. Aside from her family, her orchids and book club were a source of great joy to her. Catherine fought a long hard battle with cancer which took her from her loving family too soon and she will be missed more than she will ever know.
