Catherine "Cathy" Yeaman

On December 28, 2016, we said a sorrowful goodbye to CATHERINE "CATHY" YEAMAN, beloved wife of 54 years to Sidney "Kent" Yeaman, mother to Shelly Yeaman Berg, John and Jamie Yeaman, grandmother to Nick and Garrett Berg, Kelsey and Clarissa Yeaman, and great -grandmother to Kaitlin and Austin Berg, sister-in-law to Carolyn Newkirk and Elise Huff, and many other relatives and friends. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Anderson.

Cathy was born in Petaluma, California on March 2, 1945 and graduated from Petaluma High School in 1963.  Cathy and Kent first met at Kenilworth Junior High School in 1959 and were married in 1962 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Petaluma.

Cathy enjoyed a long and productive 32-year career with the County of Sonoma, retiring in 1997 as a Supervisor in the Social Services Department. In her retirement years, Cathy enjoyed part-time retail jobs at Mervyns and Ross, playing Scrabble and other board games, gardening, and enjoying the music of Beatles, Elvis, John Lennon and Abba.

In lieu of a funeral service, Cathy requested a Celebration of Life, which will be held at a later date and location.
