Cathleen Evans

Cathleen Evans - Passed away peacefully on October 30, 2009 at the age of 88 at home in her beloved community of Marshall of 59 years. Devoted wife of 66 years of Harold Evans. Loving mother of Dan (Delores) Evans, Jerry (Robin) Evans, and Cathy (Domingo) Rogers. Cherished grandmother of David, Julie, Hallie, Lindsey, Ashley, and Alyssa. Dearest sister of Fred Volkerts. Cathleen is pre-deceased by her sister Georgina Evans and her brother Wilbur Volkerts. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Per her request, there will be no services. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma (707)763-4131. A native Petaluman, Cathleen started her nursing career in Petaluma. In 1950, she and her family moved to Marshall where she and Harold owned and operated Tomales Bay Boat Shop. Missing her days as a caregiver, Cathleen continued her nursing career in Pt. Reyes Station. In retirement, she enjoyed hiking, camping, and fishing with her friends and family. She will be missed by all whose heart she touched.
