Cecilia Marie Mello

August 24, 1927 — May 2, 2016

Cecilia Marie Mello passed away on May 2, 2016 in Santa Rosa, CA at the age of 88. Devoted wife of Albert T. Mello of Santa Rosa for 70 years in August of 2016. Devoted mother of Shirley Perkins of AK, Claire Mello of Santa Rosa, Ann Cole (Steve) of MT, Albert Mello Jr.(Vicki) of Santa Rosa and Debi Mello of Sebastopol. Cherished grandmother of 9, great-grandmother of 15 and great-great grandmother of 2. Loving sister of Edward Poe (Lorraine) and the late George Poe, as well as aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with being a long time dairy woman, some of her accomplishments included: Agriculturist of the year, Farm Bureau Member, Director of Sonoma Marin Fair, Past President of North Bay Dairy Women, long time member of CA Women for Agriculture, and a devout member of the Republican Party. A special thanks to Adi and Luisa for their dedicated care.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, 301 South Main St., Sebastopol, CA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian’s Church, 7983 Covert Ln., Sebastopol. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Bay Dairy Women or your favorite charity.
