Charles W. Bradley - Born in Los Angeles, California, November 28, 1925, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on October 29, 2007. Bill"s strength, optimism, and quiet dignity carried him through a lengthy illness and inspired all those who cared for him. He was preceded in death by Shirley, his loving wife of fifty-four years. Bill graduated from the California Maritime Academy during WWII, and went on to graduate with honors from USC in Industrial Engineering in 1951. He spent most of his career in the aerospace industry and participated in many of the early space projects, including the Surveyor lunar lander. He retired from TRW in 1984, and soon after moved to Oakmont where he spent his remaining years. Bill served two years as president of the Oakmont Village Association and one year as president of the Oakmont Golf Club. Bill enjoyed trout fishing with his family and golf with his wife, Shirley, and all of his Oakmont friends. He is survived by his son, Christopher Bradley, and his daughters, Wren Bradley Powell and Paige Bradley Filomeo. Bill was blessed with five grandchildren, Hillary, Ashleigh, Erin, Adam and Kyle. Services will be held on Sunday, November 4 at Presbyterian Church of the Roses, 2500 Patio Court, Santa Rosa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa 95401, which the family acknowledges with gratitude.
