Charles Frederick Linder

September 21, 1930 — December 23, 2015

Born and raised in Philadelphia, CHARLES LINDER passed away on December 23, 2015 at his home in Petaluma. During the Korean War, he served in the US Air Force on a B29 as a flight engineer. He met his wife Sharon and they have been married for 61 years. Together they raised three sons and one daughter and have seven grandsons. Charlie graduated from Milliken University in Decatur, IL with a degree in business. He owned and operated a Christmas tree farm in Petaluma for 25 years. He retired after 37 years in sales with Union Carbide. He was a member of Farm Trails and SIRs. While his children were young, Charlie coached Little League and soccer. He was an avid fisherman, sports fan, and loved to travel the world. But above all, he valued his family and was a great friend. He will be greatly missed. A family memorial will be held and the family deeply appreciates the wonderful care and love by Hospice of Petaluma.
