Charles "Chuck" Metz

Chuck Metz passed away Feb. 6 at the age of 91. Born Charles Erwin Metz, on April 3, 1925 in Eugene Oregon, he lived in Petaluma the last 50 years or more and was a Watchmaker. He owned and operated a local business for over forty years in downtown Petaluma before retiring in 1996. Chuck was a member of many local social, and nonprofit civic groups in addition to being an officer with the local Disabled American Veterans having, served in the Navy as a CB in WWII. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Metz of Petaluma, two adult sons and four adult step children and many grandchildren. A private memorial and appreciation of Chuck’s life for close friends and family will be organized. Contributions to Hospice of Petaluma or an Alzheimer’s charity are welcome.
