Charles "Charlie" Riedmuller

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we are informing of the passing of our Father, Grand Father, Uncle, and great friend, Charlie Riedmuller. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 16, 2014. He seemed to be healthy and happy, but perhaps tired and missing his wife. He made sure that he was able to see his family and friends one last time. Though his passing was unexpected to us all, we feel that he knew that his time was near, and therefore made an effort to see all of the people that he loved and cared about, and to make sure his family was and will be okay. He will be loved and missed everyday by everyone in his life. Devoted husband of the late Delene "Dee" Riedmuller. Cherished father of Debbie Riedmuller of Kelseyville, Chuck Riedmuller of Petaluma, and Robyn King (Erik) of MO. Beloved grandfather of James Hill, Anthony Hill, Kyle Riedmuller, Kasey Riedmuller, Tyler King, and Charley King. Adored great-grandfather of Maile and Roman Hill; Noah and Isabelle Hill. Loving brother of George Riedmuller of PA. Age: 78 years. Charlie was born in Bronx, NY, and finally settled with his family in Petaluma in 1976. For 27 years, he served in the United States Coast Guard and attained the rank of E-9, Master Chief Petty Officer. He finally retired in 1978. In his spare time, Charlie volunteered his talents and skills to the Sea Scouts and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joy, though, came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful man; he will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.
