Chuck, 82, died peacefully after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly, and his daughters Debbie and Tracy Zezza (Paul). Chuck had 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Chuck was a lifelong resident of Petaluma and successful businessman who owned and operated Ternes Office Equipment in Petaluma for many years.Chuck was an avid ham radio operator. He was a founding member of the Redwood Empire DX Association, past director of the Northern CA DX Foundation and served on the board. He volunteered with the Office of Emergency Services when needed. He also enjoyed square dancing, golfing and traveling with his wife.
Chuck had a big heart, many friends everywhere and often shared about his adventures on the Petaluma River and his family cabin in Lake County. He loved deer hunting, duck hunting and fishing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Boulevard Café, 1096 Petaluma Blvd. N in Petaluma on Saturday, January 7th at 2pm.
