Charlie Couto Lima

CHARLIE COUTO LIMA passed away at the age of 41 years. Devoted son of Mary J. Couto of Rohnert Park and the late John Costa Lima. Loving step-son of Luis P. Medeiros. Beloved brother of John Couto Lima of Santa Rosa. Adored uncle of Ashley Alexandria Buescher and Logan Couto Lima. Treasured grandson of the late Herminia (Sousa) and Joseph Ferreira Couto and Maria and Manuel Jacinto Lima. Dear nephew of Mario Couto, Olinda Prokupek, Mike Couto, Helena Medeiros, Bernadette Medeiros, Irene Carli, Manuel Lima, Jaime Lima, Antonio Lima, Edwarda Lima, Maria Jose Lima, Conceicao Lima and the late Fatima Couto Lima and Jose Lima. Cherished cousin of John and Michael Lima, Patricia Parreira, Tony and Anna Medeiros, Michael Couto, Stephanie Azevedo, Gilbert Couto, Andrea Aguilar, Carlos Medeiros, Joe Medeiros, Melissa Bonilla, Chris Prokupek, Brandon Carli, Carissa Amorim, Beau Carli and 22 second cousins. Charlie was born in Los Angeles, but reared and educated in Sonoma County. He was a graduate of Rancho-Cotati High School and attended SRJC and Foothill College. He became a journeyman and was a member of the Local 104 Teamsters sheet metal union. In his spare time, Charlie enjoyed motorcycle riding, trips to the coast to watch the ocean waves, abalone diving. He was a phenomenal free hand artist and could draw just about anything. Above all, Charlie loved his family. He was a wonderful man, he will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to meet on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 10:15 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma thence to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma where at 11:00 am a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the Mortuary. Entombment: Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
